Turkish Calligrapher Ali Hüsrevoğlu in the 1993 Expansion

Ali Hüsrevoğlu began his calligraphy art in 1974. He received his diploma from the great master calligrapher Hamid Aytaç in 1984. The diploma is an official document in the tradition of Ottoman and Islamic art that certifies a master's recognition of a student's competence and authority. In the 1993 expansion project of the Prophet's Mosque, the task of writing the calligraphy for the new sections of the mosque was assigned to Ali Hüsrevoğlu. This task was not merely a technical calligraphy work; it was a unique opportunity carrying a deep religious responsibility and spiritual honor. The calligraphy of the Prophet's Mosque is seen by millions of Muslims from all corners of the world and will remain there until the Day of Judgment.
