The House of Hz. Zaynab bint Huzaymah

Zaynab bint Huzaymah b. al-Haris al-Hilaliyya is the wife of the Prophet Muhammad who lived the shortest time among his wives. She earned the title 'Umm al-Masakin' (mother of the poor) due to her generosity and compassion towards the poor and needy both before and during the Islamic period. Hz. Zaynab married the Prophet Muhammad in the 3rd year of Hijra after the Battle of Uhud. However, this marriage was very short-lived; Hz. Zaynab passed away only two or three months after marrying the Prophet, according to some sources, eight months later. Hz. Zaynab, who died in the 4th year of Hijra, is one of the two women who passed away before him among the Prophet's wives; the other is Hz. Khadijah.
