My House and the Minbar is a Garden of Paradise Hadith

The Rawdah is the most blessed area of the Prophet's Mosque. This area, which the Prophet Muhammad himself described as 'a garden from the gardens of Paradise', corresponds to the section between the Prophet's chamber and the minbar. "The area between my house and my minbar is one of the gardens of Paradise; my minbar will also be at the head of my pond (the Kawthar pond) on the Day of Resurrection." (Bukhari, Fada'il al-Madina 5; Muslim, Hajj 500) This hadith clearly defines the physical boundaries of the Rawdah; the mihrab area, green columns, and red columns visually mark this boundary. Every visitor to the Prophet's Mosque desires to pray, make supplications, and engage in dhikr in this area if possible. Therefore, the Rawdah is always filled with a dense crowd. This hadith also draws attention to the position of the minbar in the hereafter; the minbar being at the head of the Kawthar pond is a sign of the Prophet Muhammad's exalted status in the hereafter.
