Hz. Ömer Quran and Bedouin

This scene that took place during the caliphate of Hz. Ömer (H. 13-23/M. 634-644) reveals the transformative effect of the Quran on humans. According to the account narrated by Adnan Şensoy, a Bedouin came to Medina. He heard someone reciting the Quran beautifully in the Prophet's Mosque or another place. This voice deeply shook him. Hz. Ömer witnessed this scene and said with deep emotion: 'Everything that Allah sent to Muhammad is in this voice...' This statement indicates that the Quran is not merely a text; it forms a complete whole with its voice, recitation, and passage through the heart. Hz. Ömer maintained his deep respect for the Quran throughout his life. The caliph, who memorized the Quran and set an example in this regard, greatly encouraged and supported people to read and learn the Quran with enthusiasm.
