Hz. Meymune's House

Hz. Meymune bint el-Hâris el-Hilâliyye (d. 51/671) is the last wife of the Prophet Muhammad. Their marriage was conducted in the month of Zilkade in the year 7 AH / March 629, outside Mecca in the Sharif area; the Prophet married her during the famous 'Kaza Umrah' after entering Mecca. For this reason, Hz. Meymune is referred to as "the woman blessed by marriage during the Kaza Umrah." Hz. Meymune is also known among the wives of the Prophet as Hz. Maimûne. Her mother is Hind bint Avf; her sister Umm al-Fadl is the wife of Hz. Abbas. Therefore, Hz. Meymune had a familial relationship with the mother-in-law of Hz. Abbas. After the death of the Prophet, Hz. Meymune lived in Medina and passed away in the year 51 AH at about 80 years old in the Sharif area, where she was buried; she had bequeathed that she wished to be buried where her marriage was conducted.
