Fatima bint Hussein (d. 110/728) is the daughter of Hz. Hussein b. Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. She is considered one of the most respected and knowledgeable women in the Ahl al-Bayt tradition of Islamic history. Fatima bint Hussein, who was present with her family at a young age during the events of Karbala (61 AH/680 AD), spent much of her later life in Medina. This great scholar, known for her knowledge, asceticism, and piety, is the transmitter of many hadiths. The Ehab Well (Bi'ru Ehab) is a historical water source located near Fatima bint Hussein's property or residence in Medina.
