History

Mihras represents a stone pit or pool on the slopes of Mount Uhud, at the battlefield. It is reported that Hz. Prophet wanted to drink a lot of water at the moments he was injured. According to the narration, when Hz. Prophet was injured in Uhud, Hz. Ali held his shield to the Mihras pit to collect water and wanted to give it to Hz. Prophet. However, Hz. Fatima used burning mat ash to stop the bleeding; Hz. Prophet used that water to wash his blood instead of drinking it. This scene directly reveals the devotion of Hz. Ali and Hz. Fatima to Hz. Prophet in Uhud. This moment of sacrifice with Mihras water is one of the warmest human scenes of Uhud.
