The Quraysh Army Headquarters
The Quraysh Army Headquarters is the plain north of Mount Uhud where the approximately 3,000-strong Meccan army established its headquarters and positioned itself before the battle during the Battle of Uhud (3 AH/625 CE). The battle plan was devised from this location, and the cavalry unit commanded by Khalid ibn al-Walid and Ikrimah ibn Abu Jahl also moved from here.

MapHistory
The Battle of Uhud (3 Shawwal / March 625 CE) began with a comprehensive attack by the Quraysh, seeking revenge for their defeat at Badr, aimed at Medina. The army under the command of Abu Sufyan consisted of 3,000 infantry, 200 cavalry, and 700 armored soldiers. This massive force, which moved from Mecca, settled in the Uyneyn plain north of Mount Uhud. The area chosen to establish the Quraysh army's headquarters was strategically important: it created a front directly opposing the Muslim army; at the same time, it allowed the cavalry unit under Khalid ibn al-Walid to pass through the Ayneyn Hill and encircle the Muslims from behind. The banner of the army was carried by Osman ibn Talha from the Banu Abduddar clan. To boost the morale of the Quraysh army, Hind bint Utbah and other women played tambourines and recited poetry. Hind bint Utbah specifically targeted Hz. Hamza to avenge her father Utbah ibn Rabi'ah and her brother Walid, who were killed at Badr. In the initial phase of the battle, the Quraysh, who suffered a defeat against the Muslims, turned the situation in their favor with a sudden raid carried out by Khalid ibn al-Walid after the Archers' Hill was vacated. The polytheists returned to Mecca without achieving a decisive victory. [Source: "Battle of Uhud", TDV Islamic Encyclopedia, https://islamansiklopedisi.org.tr/uhud-gazvesi]
Importance and Narrations
Allah the Exalted said about Uhud: "On the day when the two armies met, those of you who turned back on that day were led astray by Satan because of some of their deeds. But Allah forgave them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing." [Source: Aal-E-Imran, 3:155]
