The palace of the Jewish Ka'b b. Ashraf and the expedition of Hz. Muhammad b. Maslama (2nd year of Hijra before Uhud)

Ka'b b. Ashraf (d. 3/624) is a Jewish poet known for his enmity towards Islam. He belonged to the Tay tribe on his father's side and to the Banu Nadir on his mother's side. He was a recognized and respected figure among both Arabs and Jews. After the defeat of the Quraysh in the Battle of Badr, Ka'b fell into great sorrow; he went to Mecca and incited the Quraysh to fight against Muslims and recited provocative poetry that belittled Muslims. It is reported that he also wrote inappropriate poetry directed at Muslim women. Hz. the Prophet was greatly disturbed by this situation. Hz. Muhammad b. Maslama took on the task of neutralizing Ka'b b. Ashraf with a squad of five men. This expedition is among the operations organized by Hz. the Prophet to ensure the security of Medina. Ka'b b.
