The grave of Hz. Mus'ab b. Umeyr

Mus'ab b. Umeyr (d. 3/625) was one of the best-dressed, most handsome, and wealthiest young men of Mecca. When he converted to Islam, his family imprisoned him and took away his wealth; Mus'ab willingly faced poverty and hardship. The Prophet sent Mus'ab b. Umeyr as the first official envoy to Medina to teach Islam after the First Pledge of Aqabah. Mus'ab achieved great success in Medina: He brought many people from various tribes to Islam, ensuring that people from both Aws and Khazraj converted to Islam. He served as the standard bearer of Islam during the Battle of Uhud. When the Muslims were ambushed, he continued to fight without dropping the banner; when both of his arms were cut off, he tried to carry the banner with his chest and was martyred during this time. The Prophet visited him and wept. There was no cloth to cover him; when his head was covered, his feet remained uncovered, and when his feet were covered, his head remained uncovered.
