The grave of Hz. Amr b. Sâbit b. Vakş

Amr b. Sâbit b. Vakş el-Ensârî (d. 3/625) was from the Ansar of Medina and had not accepted Islam for a long time. He converted to Islam shortly before the start of the Battle of Uhud. His most notable feature is this: After becoming a Muslim, he participated in the battle without having the opportunity to perform any prayers or fulfill any Islamic worship, and he was martyred. When this situation became a topic of curiosity among the companions, the Prophet Muhammad said: "He is among the people of Paradise; he performed little deeds but received great rewards."
