The grave of Hz. Abdullah b. Cahsh

Abdullah b. Cahsh (d. 3/625) is the son of the Prophet's aunt. His mother, Umayma bint Abd al-Muttalib, is the daughter of the Prophet's uncle Abd al-Muttalib. He converted to Islam in the early period of Islam and emigrated to Abyssinia. Abdullah b. Cahsh is the commander of the first organized expedition in Islamic history. The Prophet Muhammad sent him with an expedition to Nahle in the 2nd year of Hijra; this expedition resulted in the first conflict with the polytheists in Islamic history. Abdullah, who was martyred in the Battle of Uhud, was buried in the same grave as his uncle Hz. Hamza. The detail of sharing his grave with Hz. Hamza is particularly emphasized in historical sources.
