History

Abdullah b. Abdulmuttalib (d. around 570 AD) is the father of the Prophet. Abdullah, one of the favorite sons of Abdulmuttalib, was saved from being sacrificed with a hundred camels and was known as a handsome and charming young man of the Quraysh. After Abdulmuttalib married Abdullah to Amina bint Wahb in accordance with religious tradition, the mother of the Prophet became pregnant. Abdullah fell ill during a business trip to Medina during the pregnancy. His illness worsened while he was staying as a guest in Medina, and he passed away at a young age. He was buried on Tuval Street. The Prophet never saw his father; he had not yet been born or was newly born when his father passed away. At this point, there are different narrations in the sources: According to some sources, the Prophet was two months old, while according to the vast majority of other sources, his father passed away before he was born. It is narrated that when the Prophet grew up and first came to Medina, he visited his father's grave. [Source: "Abdullah b.
