The Execution of Asma bint Marwan by Hz. Umayr b. Adi's Expedition (March 13, 622, the Day of the Battle of Badr)

Umayr b. Adi al-Hatmi was a companion belonging to the Aws tribe. This expedition represents a sensitive operation aimed at internal security within Medina during the early period of Islam. Asma bint Marwan was the wife of Yazid b. Zayd and was known for saying extremely harsh words about the Prophet, writing poems mocking him, and inciting the Medinans to kill the Messenger of Allah. These activities threatened the unity of the new Islamic community in Medina. According to reports, Umayr b. Adi killed Asma bint Marwan at night to prevent this provocative attitude. In the morning, he informed the Prophet. When the Prophet learned of the incident, he said: "By Allah, not even two goats would butt heads over this matter," indicating that no one would care about this confrontation.
