Sebha Plain Quraysh Headquarters

Before the Battle of Uhud (3 Shawwal AH / March 625 AD), the Quraysh army moved from Mecca towards Medina. When the army reached near Medina, it advanced along the Kanât Valley west of Uhud Mountain and settled in the plain known as Sebha. The Sebha Plain was strategically located between Uhud Mountain and Medina. The Quraysh army, which housed approximately 3,000 infantry, 200 cavalry, and 700 armored soldiers, took its battle formation here and let their horses and camels graze on the region's grains. This movement also aimed to damage the agricultural lands around Uhud in Medina. The Prophet consulted with his companions in the Prophet's Mosque: while some suggested defending Medina, others advocated for going out to Uhud to fight.
