Ottoman Period Military Hospital

The Ottoman Empire built various infrastructure facilities to support its military garrison in Medina. This hospital was established to meet the healthcare needs of the Ottoman army in Hejaz and played a critical role in the defense of Medina under the command of Fahreddin Pasha during World War I. Its location is confirmed by the historical Medina map titled 'Harem-i Şerif ile sair mekân-ı mübareke' in the Rare Manuscripts Library of Istanbul University.
