Hadith written on the sign

Various hadiths are inscribed on Ottoman and modern plaques in the Rawdah section of the Prophet's Mosque (the garden of paradise between the Hujrah and the minbar). These plaques consist of hadiths and verses that visitors can read from the walls or columns, deepening the spiritual atmosphere of the visit. One of these signs contains the following hadith: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The place between my house and my minbar is one of the gardens of Paradise. My minbar is at the head of my pond (the Kawthar pond)." (Bukhari, Fada'il al-Madina 5; Muslim, Hajj 500) The hadiths and verses written in the Rawdah-i Mutahhara reinforce the sanctity of the area and remind visitors that this is the place where the Prophet Muhammad lived, prayed, and delivered sermons. The majority of the calligraphers who wrote these inscriptions during the Ottoman period were Turkish calligraphers.
