Gate No. 37-D (Makkah Gate)

The doors of the Prophet's Mosque have been systematically numbered during the modern expansion periods. Each door is named after a historical companion, caliph, or Saudi ruler. The Makkah Gate is named in reference to Makkah, the first and most sacred city of Islam, where the Sacred Mosque is located.
