Gate No. 26-C (Gate of Osman b. Affan)

The gates of the Prophet's Mosque have been systematically numbered during the modern expansion periods. Each gate takes its name from either a historical companion, a caliph, or a Saudi ruler. The Gate of Hz. Osman b. Affân bears the name of Hz. Osman, the third caliph of Islam. Hz. Osman was the first caliph to extensively expand the Prophet's Mosque.
