Gate No. 26-A (Gate of Osman b. Affan)

The doors of the Prophet's Mosque have been systematically numbered during the modern expansion periods. Each door takes its name from either a historical companion, a caliph, or a Saudi ruler. The Gate of Hz. Osman b. Affân carries the name of Hz. Osman, the third caliph of Islam. Hz. Osman is the first caliph to have extensively expanded the Prophet's Mosque.
