Gate No. 24 (Gate of Osman b. Affan)

The gates of the Prophet's Mosque have been systematically numbered during modern expansion periods. Each gate takes its name from a historical companion, caliph, or Saudi ruler. The Gate of Hz. Osman b. Affân carries the name of Hz. Osman, the third caliph of Islam. Hz. Osman was the first caliph to comprehensively expand the Prophet's Mosque.
