El-Hisy Street, the street used by the Messenger of Allah while going to Uhud

El-Hisy Street (زقاق الحُسَى) is a location on the historical route extending from Medina to Mount Uhud, where it is reported that the Prophet Muhammad passed while going to the Battle of Uhud (A.H. 3/M. 625). In Islamic historical sources, especially in Waqidi's al-Maghazi, the route taken by the Prophet Muhammad to Uhud is detailed. This route encompassed the path extending from the northern part of Medina to the foothills of Mount Uhud. The Prophet Muhammad spent the night before going to Uhud on a Friday night; he led the morning prayer and then set out with his army. Before moving, he advanced to the middle of the road leading to Uhud, where the hypocrites turned back. He then proceeded with two small battle formations. El-Hisy Street represents a point on this historical route extending from Medina to Uhud. Such route documents hold great importance in the history of the sirah.
