Câr Büreyke Port, the port where those returning from the migration to Abyssinia landed

Câr (el-Câr) is the historical port of Medina on the Red Sea coast. This small settlement, now called el-Büreyke, is located about 200 km from Medina and 28 km from Badr. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Câr port served as the gateway for Medina's foreign trade. Grains and commercial goods arriving from Egypt and other regions were unloaded at this port and transported to Medina. This trade route was of great importance for the food security of Medina. This port is also significant for the return of Muslims who emigrated to Abyssinia. It is reported that around 7 AH (628-29 CE), Ja'far ibn Abi Talib and other emigrants landed at Câr Port on their return from Abyssinia by sea.
