Bakî' ez-Zübeyr Market

When Zubair ibn al-Awwam migrated to Medina with the Prophet Muhammad, he was in a very difficult financial situation; he had nothing but his horse. The Prophet Muhammad gave him a piece of land in the Nakî' region that no one was cultivating, which was marshy or covered with shrubs. Zubair worked hard to make this land productive. Over time, this area turned into a market and trade center named after Zubair. This market was an important part of Medina's early trade life.
