The people of Prophet Lot lived in the regions of Sodom and Gomorrah around the Dead Sea (Lake Lot). The story of this community, narrated in many chapters of the Qur'an, represents one of the fundamental warnings in the moral understanding of Islam. Prophet Lot was the nephew of Prophet Ibrahim. He was sent as a messenger to this community by Allah. When his people continued their moral depravity, Allah rained stones upon them and overturned their cities. This disaster is conveyed in the Qur'an as follows: "We turned the city upside down and rained upon them stones of baked clay." (Al-Hijr 15/74) This hill, which offers a panoramic view of the Sodom region, allows visitors to physically feel this instructive page of history in the physical space.
