Mosque of Mîseb (The charitable land inherited by the Jewish Muhayrik to the Messenger of Allah at Uhud) Mîseb, Sâfiye, Dellâl, Hasnâ, Burka, A‘vâf (A‘râf) and Meşrubetü Ümmi İbrâhîm

Muhayrık was a wealthy and learned man from the Banu Nadir Jews. Before the Battle of Uhud, he said to his tribe: "O my people! Today is Saturday; however, you know that it is obligatory for you to help Muhammad." Although his tribe did not want to fight on Saturday, Muhayrık joined the Battle of Uhud and was martyred there. Before he was martyred, he bequeathed: "If I die today, my wealth belongs to Muhammad; let him use it wherever he wishes." When the Prophet heard this bequest, he said: "Muhayrık is the best of the Jews." The lands of Muhayrık became the first endowment properties of the Prophet. Mîseb, Sâfiye, Dellâl, Hasnâ, Burka, A'vâf, and Meşrubetü Ümmü İbrâhîm are the names of these endowment lands. The Prophet prayed in the mosque of these lands.
