Malik b. Sinan Mosque

Malik b. Sinan al-Hazreji is a prominent Ansar companion from the Hazrec tribe of Medina. He is the father of Hz. Abu Said al-Hudri. During the Battle of Uhud, when two armor rings that had pierced the Prophet's cheek were removed, blood began to flow from the wound. Malik b. Sinan drank that blood. The Prophet Muhammad said, "Whoever wants to see someone whom the fire of hell will not touch, let him look at Malik b. Sinan." This narration immortalizes Malik b. Sinan's sincere and self-sacrificing attitude at Uhud. At that moment, Malik b. Sinan said: "The blood of the Prophet mixed with my blood; thus, the fire of hell cannot touch me."
