Beni Vakıf Mosque

Beni Vakıf is one of the branches of the Aws tribe in Medina. This community, located in the southern part of Medina, played an important role during the period of Islam's establishment in the city. The generosity, self-sacrifice, and deep devotion to the Prophet Muhammad, which are general characteristics of the Ansar, were also among the fundamental qualities of Beni Vakıf. Ibn Zebale notes that the Prophet visited various neighborhoods and tribes in Medina and prayed there. These visits not only strengthened social cohesion but also contributed to the spiritual blessing of the places where prayers were held. The Beni Vakıf Mosque carries the memory of this historic visit.
