Beni Haram Mosque (The house of Hz. Jabir b. Abdullah and his father Hz. Abdullah b. Haram)

Hz. Jabir b. Abdullah al-Ansari (d. 78/697) is one of the closest companions of Hz. Prophet and one of the most prolific narrators of hadith. His father Abdullah b. Haram is one of the first martyrs of the Battle of Uhud. Hz. Jabir is a companion who became an orphan after his father was martyred at Uhud and sometimes faced economic difficulties; Hz. Prophet has helped him many times. One of the most famous narrations regarding Jabir b. Abdullah's house and family is as follows: One day, Jabir said to Hz. Prophet, "My father died in debt; there are creditors." Hz. Prophet spoke with the creditors and requested a discount; once an agreement was reached, the dates in the garden were collected and the debts were paid. Hz. Prophet's way of providing solutions reflects his approach to social issues. Hz. Prophet prayed in the house of Jabir and his family. According to one narration, during one of these visits, Hz. Prophet noticed phlegm on the mosque wall, scraped it off, and said, "It is not appropriate for someone to spit phlegm to his left or towards his feet when he spits in the mosque." [Source: "Jabir b.
